Announcing New Book!

Cover-101-Mantras-for-Self-EsteemI am very happy to announce the publication of my newest book, 101 Mantras For Self-Esteem. This is the first in a series of books that will each have 101 mantras or more.

101 Mantras For Self-Esteem contains more than 101 mantras (affirmations) to help people develop improved self-esteem. Self esteem and confidence in oneself are critical factors for success in every aspect of one’s life.

This self help book has useful chapters about the nature of self-esteem and about how the author has overcome her own issues, in part by using mantras. There is also a very nicely presented chapter on how to use mantras to improve your life.

A Mantra is a sound, a syllable, a word, phrase or sentence that you repeat over and over to achieve a state of being or a state of mind. In this case, Victoria is using the word “Mantra” to describe words and phrases that are repeated in order to release (and eventually eliminate) self-limiting beliefs. (Some people prefer to use the word “Affirmation” to describe the same thing. Mantras are very powerful tools for changing the way we believe (and therefore act) regarding our possibilities and opportunities.

Good Self-Esteem (believing in yourself, recognizing your value, honoring your talents and possibilities) is a basic requirement to achieve goals in life. Most people with low self-esteem won’t even try, or they claim victimhood when their efforts fall short. The Mantras and quotes in this book can be a part of your commitment to claim your power, raise your self-esteem and let go of your limiting beliefs about yourself. High self-esteem is necessary to achieve higher levels of success.

This 256-page book will also be available in the near future in the EPUB and Kindle formats on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and iTunes. I will update with links when it becomes available in the new formats.

Victoria Young is an author, teacher and psychic medium whom Hans King called, “One of the finest mediums in the country.” Victoria has been using Mantras for over 30 years. She wrote Spirit Guides; Communicating With Your Unseen Friends, and produced a CD with the same title that contains guided meditations to help people contact their own guidance. Victoria lives and writes in Colorado.

Gratitude Attitude

I know a lot has been written about the power of gratitude to change one’s life. Even so, I don’t think anyone can ever say too much about it. Practicing gratitude for everything in your life is at the foundation of a spiritual existence.

We come from Source. Source is our source. And the source of everything in our lives, including what we have, what we think, how we live, and what we allow into our consciousness. Everything that flows into our lives comes as a result of the law of attraction.

This law of attraction could just as easily be called “Resonance.”  If you put two pianos in a room that are properly tuned, and you play the middle C note on one piano, you will see that the string for middle C is also vibrating on the other piano.  That is because the two strings resonate to each other.  The activation of one automatically activates the other.

Just as the strings on the piano vibrate, and therefore resonate to each other, our thoughts vibrate and resonate to the corresponding situations. Thoughts of gratitude bring more things to be grateful for. Thoughts of lack attract more thoughts which are conscious of how much we lack, and therefore create or attract more situations of lack.

Gratitude is probably the most important thing you can start with if you want to improve the circumstances of your life. Be grateful that you have air to breathe, that you can read, that there are so many wonderful things in this life to explore.

I am in the process of finishing my new book about gratitude  ( I call it Gratitude Attitude), which I hope will be published within a few months.  The wonderful thing about working on this book, is that it keeps me in a state of awareness of the importance of gratitude and of how much I have to be grateful for.

I have visited some of the poorest areas in the world, and I guarantee that if you are in a first world country, you have much to be grateful for. There are so many people in the world who do not even have the most basic needs met. And those of us in the modern countries who have our basic needs met have much to be grateful for. Expressing gratitude for even the smallest thing such as enough food to eat, will help bring more things into your life for which you can express gratitude.

Think of five things every day that you are grateful for. Write them down. And express thanks that these are in your life.

New Years Bring New Opportunities

Every new year sees us making resolutions about things we want to change, or do differently in the future. Obviously, a new year is no different from a new day or a new hour. We can choose any moment in our lives to go forward in a new fashion.

We don’t have to wait for a new year to start a new life. Every single moment we have in the now is an opportunity to change our lives. However, many people see New Year’s, birthdays and other anniversaries as points of new beginnings. Whether it is for the new year or just because you’ve decided to change your life, you can start a new here and now.

I suggest that you sit down and make a list of the things you would like to change in your life. Perhaps make two columns; one column for how things are now and the second column for how you want them to be. If your list is long, try to only tackle one or two things at a time. Once you get those things under control, then address a new item on the list.

Attitude is Everything

Below is a four-minute video about how our attitude is the basis for our thoughts, which aggregate and become beliefs. The beliefs become the framework for our reality. Our attitude generates the emotions that color and fill in the framework with a “reality” that seems quite solid, tough it is but an illusion.

Change your attitude — change the illusion.

Energy Follows Attention

This video — a little over 7 minutes long — gives a very good explanation about what we give our attention to and how it affects our lives. Have you ever noticed that when things get “bad” they seem to compound and get worse? Or that when things start going well, lots of things start to line up how you want them?

It has audio with a static image, so you don’t have to actually WATCH it — you can just listen to it and get great info.

New Moon –Write Yourself a Check!

Today is the New Moon, the time for new beginnings. It is the perfect time to plant the seeds of your future. I suggest you perform a New Moon Prosperity ritual every New Moon if possible. It is the most powerful if you do it within 24 hours after the New Moon.

As part of my process, I made some Blank Prosperity Checks to use to write checks from the Universe to myself. I made them look like the bank checks we are accustomed to seeing. There are three checks on an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper. Here is what they look like: Continue reading

Act As If or Fake it 'Til you Make It

For many years I’ve heard that in order to get from where we are to where we want to be, we are supposed to “Act As If” we were already there. A companion phrase that I heard oft-repeated was “Fake it ’til you make it.” Back then, I understood the theory (sort of), but I could not understand how a person who is 100 pounds overweight could look in the mirror and act as if (s)he was thin.

I could not see how one could act as if (s)he was wealthy when a glance at the bank account showed less than $100 to last the next two weeks. How could one act as if (s)he was in a great job when it was the same thing (s)he wanted to get out of? If they pretended things were different, were they in denial?

On the HoloDeck

You are the master and creator of your HoloDeck and all of the virtual experiences, running as programs on your HoloDeck. They seem so real to you that you call them your life experience.

A common question from people who come for readings is, “How can I learn to create my reality?” Guidance always says you cannot learn it. You cannot learn what you already know. You cannot learn it because you are already doing it — every second, every minute, every day, every situation.

What you can learn is to pay attention to how you do it. Pay attention to the repeating patterns in your life. Especially the ones you are trying to prevent or the things you are trying to avoid. The repeating patterns in your life are the programs you are running on your HoloDeck. Everything in your life is running on your HoloDeck, every experience, situation, observation is on your HoloDeck and the repeating patterns are the obvious evidence of it.

I knew a guy many years ago who kept having problems with burglaries and vandalism. Austin (not his real name) moved to a better neighborhood. Another burglary. Continue reading

Doing the Impossible

Today is the 41st anniversary of the first person walking on the moon. Less than 8 years earlier, on September 12, 1962, President John F. Kennedy gave the “We Choose to Go to the Moon” speech announcing plans to go to the Moon before the end of the decade.

What an ambitious task! Especially in retrospect. Given the technology of 48 years ago when the announcement was made and 41 years ago when Apollo 11 went to the moon, it seems like they did the impossible. We have 10 times more memory and computing power in the average smart phone today than the astronauts had on their spaceship. Can you imagine using your iPhone or BlackBerry as your only computing resource for space travel?

Henry Ford is credited with saying, “Whether you believe you can do a thing or not, you are right.” NASA, the astronauts and their support systems believed they could achieve this monumental goal in the 1960s.

Most people alive today do not remember Apollo 11. They have grown up watching Star Trek, Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica, Stargate, etc. They think of warp drives, worm holes, “Beam me up, Scotty,” and cloaking devices as the technologies that go with space travel. Apollo 11 had none of that and yet they made it to the moon, and to me the more amazing part — they made it back to Earth safely!

Here is the launch:

And the first moon walk.

Everyone is an Example — Through Morphic Fields

People serve as examples via the Morphic Fields they create or expand.

Morphic fields are fields of potential. You can tap into a Morphic Field to help you make something your reality. With rare exceptions, there are Morphic Fields for anything available to you energetically. When someone does something for the first time, they create the Morphic Field of that possible reality. When many people continue to do that, they expand that Morphic Field.

A great example of tapping into a Morphic Field is Sir Roger Bannister and the 4-minute-mile. Bannister was determined to break the 4-minute barrier for running a mile. Everyone told him it was impossible and technically it was because no one had done it before. Even though people told him he would die trying, Mr. Bannister was on a mission to break the 4-minute barrier.
