What do we want most out of life? Quite simply, we want to be happy. We want to smile, giggle, laugh, joke, grin and enjoy life every chance we can get. So why do we make the simplest things we want in our lives the hardest to get?
I believe it is because we are co-dependent on fear, struggle, and conflict. We seem to fill our lives these energies. Where did this co-dependency begin? Continue reading →
I’ve written several articles about “Letting Go” from different angles. Each time I cycle the concept through my mind, I get a new understanding about it — so I write something more. I am convinced that “Letting Go” is one of the core (and therefore critical) processes to making Spiritual progress.
In fact, I think it is essential to making progress of any kind — spiritual, mental, emotional, physical, relationships, prosperity, etc.
When I talk about it to someone, the question they inevitably pose is, “How can you make progress if you aren’t planning and measuring with goals?” Continue reading →
The Spiritual Harmony Chakra is the seventh of eight chakras located in the Solar Plexus Region of the body. It represents our ability to achieve spiritual balance. This balance occurs when our full spiritual consciousness and awareness leading us on our life’s journey outweighs the beliefs, judgments, perceptions and illusions we allow to influence our choices. This is the process of living consciously in the present.
The color vibration of this chakra is yellow and gold representing the integration of physical will (yellow) and spiritual purpose (gold). Located in the liver, the Spiritual Harmony Chakra’s spiritual symbol is iodine. Spirit calls iodine the Grain of Life and says it represents the recognition of Spirit as our own consciousness.
Dean Radin is Senior Scientist at the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS). You may remember him from “What the Bleep Do We Know?” Radin is the author of “The Conscious Universe” (1997) and “Entangled Minds” (2006).
He has a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering and a PhD in Psychology. Dr. Radin has used the blending of these sciences to study psychic phenomena (psi), effects of consciousness on measurable reality, etc.
Here is a video of a lecture he gave entitled “Science and the Taboo of PSI.” It’s over an hour long — think of it as getting to go to that conference for free.

The Destiny Chakra is the sixth of eight chakras located in the Solar Plexus Region of the body. It is located in the lower portion of the right lung and its color vibrations are blue and gold. The lungs are connected to Spirit through the process of respiration or breathing Spirit in. (Notice the word SPIRAT in respiration. When we expire we breathe our last breath – Spirit- out). The vibration of blue represents truth and gold represents confidence. Together they vibrate to, “Be confident and trust yourself!”
The gemstones that will heal and balance this chakra are pearls and clear citrines. The positive energies to activate this chakra are: listening (to your inner voice); love, joy, love of women (femininity) and purpose. The Destiny Chakra’s Spiritual Symbol is Heart as in center and extended as the highest expression of love. What is the highest expression of love? It is your ability to do, live and express your heart’s desire.
I know more than one person whose relationship with food is precarious at best. Many people I know avoid wheat, dairy and sugar. Others avoid soy and corn, and a huge number are vegetarians. One person I know keeps eliminating foods from her diet. She is vegetarian, doesn’t eat wheat, dairy or sugar. And she recently announced she is also cutting fats from her diet due to having gall stones. Soon, she will have nothing to eat if she keeps it up. She and many others have made food their enemy.
I am not saying this out of negative judgment. I myself had a long history of making food my enemy. I was fat, allergic to many things and my health was deteriorating. The harder I tried, the more attention I put on my diet, the worse it got.
Lately, I’ve been getting lots of lessons about life. I’ve been experiencing a cash flow issue. As a result, I got down on myself and started feeling like a failure. When I get in that space, I often think I must be such a disappointment to others and I feel embarrassed. I was feeling stuck and unable to get out of it. I was sure others were handling things better than me.
But then, I ended up talking to several people I know over the past four days. One of them has manifested a big crisis that drained her resources. Another found her child support and pay at work both reduced recently. She said she wants to someday have a nice house and car like me.
And yet another has gotten a surprise increase in her credit card interest and minimum payment that makes her wonder if she can continue to pay. Another person is losing their house in foreclosure and already lost the car.
Put on YOUR OWN oxygen mask first. My good friend Marva coined this phrase in response to our tendency to not take care of ourselves first before we reach out and help others. I believe this behavior of denying ourselves comes from a number of habits that don’t serve our highest good and stop us from reaching our greatest potential. In this series, I will be giving a few simple suggestions that have the potential to help us develop more positive habits to completely love and take care of ourselves first.
Know you are the most important person in your life.
You are the most important person in your life. Your parents, siblings, friends, spouse, and children should, must and have to play second fiddle to the needs, wants and desires in your life. This does not mean that you ignore your responsibilities; this means you stop sacrificing your happiness, joy and needs for those of others. If you aren’t happy and whole you will not attract people who are happy and whole. If you aren’t demanding joy and love in all aspects of your life you cannot be a positive example to your children about how to attract love and joyfully embrace life. If you feel you are not worthy of greatness, the universe will answer you in like kind and no one will feel you are either.
“Caroline” is a client of mine who owns a successful small health food and vitamin store. She works seven days a week, thirty days a month, and 364 days a year (she takes Christmas off). She does not buy herself anything new, travel, go to nice restaurants, go on walks to enjoy nature, and enjoy the city she lives in. Continue reading →
I saw an interview with Torii Hunter, outfielder for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, as they were preparing to take on the Boston Red Sox in their first game of the 2009 playoffs last week. The interviewer was asking if Hunter was concerned because of their history with the Red Sox.
In 1986, the Red Sox were down 3 games to 1 against the Angels in the ALCS, trailing 5 – 2 in the top of the 9th of game 5, facing elimination. Three more outs and the Angels go to the World Series. But Don Baylor and Dave Henderson hit homers for the Sox, forcing the game into extras. The Red Sox won in the 11th inning. They won the next two games so the Red Sox went to the World Series instead of the Angels.
The Security Chakra, located just above the diaphragm, is the fifth of eight chakras located in the Solar Plexus Region of the body. The Security Chakra represents our ability to feel grounded and secured as we become one with Spirit and our life’s purpose. The colors of this chakra are green and gold and its spiritual symbol is the phrase, “At One-ment is the goal.”
Between birth and the age of four everyone knows why they have incarnated. Why up to the age of four? Continue reading →
